Terms and Conditions Gwersyll Pant yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite Please ensure you read and understand our terms and conditions before submitting the Online Booking Enquiry Form. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS: A non-refundable deposit of £10 per unit per night booked is required when booking a pitch. Shepherds Hut’s non-refundable deposit is equivalent to the first night stay. The full balance of the booking is due 14 days before arrival via a payment link which we send you. All Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE unless we cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances. Please ensure that you have Insurance cover in the event that you have to cancel your booking. If you must cut your stay short for any reason, you will not be entitled to any refunds. BOOKINGS & PRICES: Most weekend bookings are subject to a minimum 2 night stay. When one night of a weekend is full, we allow single night bookings for the other night, please ask for availability. Bank Holiday weekends are subject to a minimum 3 night stay. When booking you agree that you or at least one member of the party is 21 years of age or over. Prices are based on a per night stay. Our current Price List is displayed on our website. Please advise us soon as possible if you wish to amend your booking. If you amend your booking after the final payment link has been sent this will incur a £2.00 administration fee. All amendments are subject to availability. GROUP BOOKINGS: Group bookings (of 3 units or more) must be done via prior arrangement. No stag/hen or adult parties. CHECK IN: CAMPING: Check in time is between 1pm and 7 pm. SHEPHERDS HUT: Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm. All New Arrivals must report to reception. Late arrivals by prior arrangement and must arrive no later than 9pm. On arrival, you must pay any outstanding balance on your booking along with any additional fees. DAY VISITORS: Day visitors are allowed by prior arrangement only and subject to availability between 10am and 6pm. Maximum of 4 persons per pitch or group booking. All Day Visitors must report to reception on arrival and pay the appropriate charge. It is your responsibility to ensure that your visitors adhere to our terms and conditions, if they do not adhere to our T&C’s we will ask them and you to leave. PITCHES: The maximum pitch width for those on hook up is 5 metres to allow for safe spacing. If your total width (unit plus awning) is more than this, you must inform us at time of booking. There is a legal requirement that every unit should be pitched not less than 6 metres from any other unit. Vehicles, awnings, or trailers are permitted to park within the 6-metre space, but in order to restrict the spread of fire, there should always be 3 metre CLEAR space within the 6 metres separation. You will be allocated a pitch and if you subsequently move, and pitch too close to another unit you will be asked to move your unit. All awning ground sheets should be eco-friendly, and we ask that you move them every five days to prevent permanent damage to the grass. Tents will be required to move pitch after seven days. We will assist you with this move. CHILDREN: Children are always the responsibility of their parents/guardians. Young children must be supervised in the toilet and shower block. Soft ball games only and avoid playing close to other campers units. DOGS: Well-behaved dogs are welcome on condition that they are kept on leads at all times. Any accidental fouling is to be picked up immediately and placed in the correct bin. No dangerous breeds. No dogs must enter the toilet and shower block. Dogs can be let off the lead at the lake’s edge to go into the lake but must be put back on the lead once out of the lake. ELECTRIC HOOK UPS: No charging of electric cars allowed off any of the Hook up points. No Splitters or adaptors to be used. Strictly NO electric household heaters to be used as this will cause the Main Switch to trip. Camping heaters only. Tents requiring electrical hook up must have the correct hook up cable with circuit breaker. VEHICLES /BOATS AND TRAILERS: Vehicles should avoid driving on the grass other than to access the pitch. All vehicles must observe the 10 mph speed limit – to ensure safety of all on site. All boats and trailers to be parked near the foreshore and not on your pitch but must not obstruct the launch area. Cars must not be parked on the launching area. USING LLYN TEGID (BALA LAKE): All boat launching, canoeing and fishing requires a lake permit which can be obtained from Reception (we act as agents to the SNPA). CASH PAYMENTS ONLY. Further information can be found at: https://www.snowdonia.gov.wales/visiting/places-to-visit/llyn-tegid/permits Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times. TREES/BUSHES/ENVIORNMENT: All of our trees, bushes and shrubs on the site are protected under SSSI regulations. Do not cut/damage them in any way. Do not collect live or dead wood. Please do not allow children to climb the trees. The site is situated within a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused by plants or wildlife. BBQ & FIRES: No ground BBQ’s on any grass area. All BBQ’s must be raised at least 40cm off the grass and must be 3 metres away from tents, caravans, vehicles, hedges, trees or property. You are not to use a BBQ inside a tent, awning, caravan, campervan, motorhome or the Shepherds Hut. Please ensure that the ashes are contained and completely extinguished and cold before leaving them and retiring for the evening. We have a metal bin for the disposal of cold ashes. Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not annoy fellow campers. NO campfires, raised fires or fire pits on any grass or camping area due to the risk of sparks etc. Campfires are only permitted on the gravel on the foreshore of the lake, close to the water’s edge. Do not collect live or dead wood from around the campsite for your campfire. Please do not leave your BBQ or fire unattended at any time. No coal or flammable fuels such as petrol may be used. Fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted. FIRE EXTINGUSHERS: Fire extinguishers are situated in prominent places around the site. REFUSE/ RECYCLING/LITTERING: All refuse must be placed in bin bags and disposed of in the correct wheelie bins. Clear bin bags for recycling paper, cardboard, cans, metal, plastic and glass - these are provided free of charge, please ask at reception. Bulky items (such as tents/chairs etc) must be taken home with you. NOISE: Loud radios/music is not permitted and noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm so not to disturb fellow campers. Unruly behaviour is not tolerated. DARK SKY RESERVE: We are in a Dark Sky Reserve and therefore ask that all lighting is kept to a minimum to avoid light pollution. Please turn off all outside lights on retiring to bed. CHECK OUT : CAMPING : Check out time is before 11am. SHEPHERDS HUT : Check out time is before 10am. Late stays on day of departure by prior arrangement and may not be available. (You will be asked to move pitch and dis-connect from electric hook up.) It may be possible for you to extend your stay, subject to availability. COVID 19: You must follow the NHS and the Welsh Government guidelines whilst on site. If you or any member of your group is displaying any symptoms you must not travel to the site. You must leave the site and return home immediately if already on site, you must not self-isolate on the campsite. Please adhere to covid 19 guidelines on the site and respect the rules imposed to protect staff, guests and our local community. OTHER: Please only drive on the grass to access your pitch only. We do not allow the use of drones on site. Rope swings left by other campers are not our responsibility. No generators are permitted on the site. We do not guarantee pitch requests but will do our best to accommodate. Commercial vans are allowed by prior arrangement. COMPLAINTS: We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us. Should you have a cause for complaint, you must speak to us face to face and allow us a chance to resolve the problem, whilst you are still on site. We may not be able to deal with your issue if you have left the site. GENERAL: The Owners reserve the right to ask person(s) to vacate their pitch if not adhering to the above terms, which include the following: *If you act in a manner likely to upset or annoy other campers. *If you behave unreasonably towards us and our staff. *If you are guilty of a criminal offence. The Owners will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or accidents to any persons or their property. The Owners reserves the right to make changes to above terms.
