Terms and Conditions of Stay - 2026 v1
Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite is a special place surrounded by countryside, nature and the lake. (Llyn Tegid).
These terms and conditions create a relaxed, quiet and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The Contract:
•
A contract between Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) and YOU (referred to as “you” or “your”) will be established once your booking is confirmed via email by us.
•
This contract binds you and all members of your party. The contract with you is not transferable.
•
Failure to disclose relevant information or to comply with these terms may result in the termination of your contract and the loss of your booking, without refund.
Bookings:
•
Bookings can be made via our website: https://www.pantyronnencampsite.co.uk (BOOK NOW).
•
When making a booking, you agree to inform us of all your requirements and confirm that you, or at least one member of your party, is a responsible adult over the age of 21.
•
Your booking will be confirmed via email by us. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder.
•
It is your responsibility to carefully check all booking details, including dates, units, and all other relevant information. If any details are incorrect, you must notify us immediately. We cannot accept responsibility
for bookings made with incorrect information.
•
Bookings are non-transferable to a third party.
•
Weekend camping bookings are subject to a 2-night stay.
•
When one night of a weekend is full, single-night bookings may be available for the remaining night — please email us for availability.
•
All Bank Holiday weekends are subject to a minimum 3-night stay (Friday to Monday).
•
A minimum-night stay applies during school holidays.
•
We reserve the right to modify the minimum length of stay requirements for any dates at our discretion, and such changes may be made without prior notice.
•
Shepherds Huts: Minimum 2-night stay at all times, except Bank Holidays (minimum 3-night stay, Friday to Monday).
•
We accept same day bookings; however, availability cannot be guaranteed.
Group Bookings:
•
Our campsite is ideal for families and couples. We are sorry, but we do not accept stag or hen parties.
•
Family/Friends of 2 or more units and Organised Clubs and Associations (e.g. Canoe Clubs, Sailing Clubs, walking groups, school groups, Scouts and D of E participants etc.) are accepted by prior arrangement.
•
If we notice that you have made individual bookings without declaring that you are part of a larger group, or if it later becomes clear that separate bookings are part of an undeclared group, we reserve the right to
cancel any or all related bookings at any time, and/or ask all persons we deem to be part of the group to leave the campsite without refund.
•
Units that require electric hook up and Units that do not require electric hook up will not be pitched together.
Deposit:
•
Camping Pitch: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 30% of the booking amount (including pitch extras) is required when booking a pitch.
•
Shepherds Hut: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 50% of the booking amount (including pitch extras) is required when booking a pitch.
Balance Payment:
•
You will receive an email 28 days before your arrival date and the remaining balance is due 21 days prior to check in.
•
We will make every effort to contact you once via email and/or text message before cancelling your booking, however if we fail to receive a response within 24 hours, your booking will be cancelled, and your
deposit retained as a cancellation charge.
Payments:
•
Once you complete the booking process, a confirmation email with your booking reference number will be sent to you.
•
Payment signifies acceptance of our terms and conditions.
•
Our Tariff is displayed on our website and is based on a per night stay.
•
All payments are inclusive of VAT. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the right to adjust the total accordingly.
•
All payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any circumstances unless we cancel your booking due to unforeseen events.
•
Payments are NOT transferable to a third party.
•
No refunds are given under any circumstances whether for non-arrival, arriving on a different day to your booked arrival date or you depart earlier than your booked departure date.
•
All major credit and debit cards are accepted (except American Express) and no card transaction fees apply.
•
Extras of any description are considered part of your booking and are therefore non-refundable if they are cancelled whether in part or fully.
Booking Amendments / Change of dates:
•
If you wish to make any amendments to your booking, this is subject to availability, and we require 21 days’ notice before the booked arrival date and an administration fee of £10 per pitch.
•
If you need to change the dates booked, this is subject to availability, and we require 21 days’ notice before the booked arrival date and an administration fee of £10 per pitch.
•
A change of date amendment can only be made once, and the new dates must be in the same year of the original dates booked. The new dates must be confirmed at the time of amendment.
•
If we do not have availability for your new dates and you then wish to cancel, any monies already paid will not be refunded.
•
Deposit payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any circumstances. If you reduce the number of nights booked, the deposit will not be refunded.
•
You can add extra dates to your existing booking, subject to availability, and no administration fee will be charged.
Cancellation / Insurance:
•
Cancellation requests received 21 days or more prior to your planned arrival date will be accepted subject to forfeiture of your booking deposit payment.
•
Cancellation request received 21 days or less prior to your planned arrival date you will forfeit all monies paid.
•
If you or any member of your party are unable or unwilling to travel to, or stay at, the Campsite for any reason, this shall be treated as a cancellation by you. Such reasons may include, but are not limited to, illness
(including Covid-19), requirements or recommendations to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, jury duty, military service, incarceration, changes in personal or work circumstances, family emergencies, accident
or injury, travel delays, vehicle breakdown, or disruption to public transport. All such circumstances remain at your risk and do not give rise to any right to cancel, amend, or receive a refund, credit, or
compensation.
•
We strongly recommend that you take out travel/holiday insurance to cover any costs in the event that you need to cancel or amend your booking. If you choose not to take out travel/holiday insurance, you
accept full responsibility for any loss or expenses you may incur as a result of cancellation or amendments.
Circumstances beyond our control / ‘Force Maheure’ including inclement weather forecast:
•
If we are unable to fulfil your booking or must cancel your stay due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will not be liable to offer compensation or reimburse any expenses you may incur.
•
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, strikes or industrial action, extreme weather, flooding, natural disasters, pandemics or epidemics, public health risks, or the
failure of public or private utilities and essential services (collectively referred to as “Force Majeure Events”).
•
Where a Force Majeure Event occurs, we will do our best to offer an alternative date or reasonable solution where possible, but we cannot guarantee this.
•
We have no control over the weather. Adverse weather conditions or an unfavourable forecast do not constitute valid grounds for cancellation, amendment, or refund of your booking. Your stay at the Campsite is
at your own risk in relation to weather conditions, and we cannot offer any compensation or alternative dates due to poor weather.
•
We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel/holiday insurance to cover any losses resulting from such unforeseen events. If you choose not to obtain travel/holiday insurance, you accept
responsibility for any financial loss that you may incur as a result of cancellation or disruption caused by a Force Majeure Event.
Cancellation by us:
•
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking for any reason other than circumstances beyond our control (as described under “Force Majeure”), you will be entitled to a full refund of any fees paid.
•
Alternatively, we may offer you the option to move your booking to an alternative date or pitch, subject to availability. If the new booking is more expensive, you will be responsible for paying the difference; if it is
cheaper, we will refund the difference.
•
No other compensation, expenses, or damages will be payable in connection with such a cancellation.
Lockdown:
•
If your home address becomes subject to a local or regional lockdown that legally prevents you from travelling to the Campsite for your booked dates, or if we are required to close due to Government restrictions
covering your booking period, we will offer to transfer your booking to alternative dates within the same calendar year.
•
This transfer will be made free of charge, with no administration fees and no minimum notice period required.
•
If suitable alternative dates cannot be arranged within the same year, we will discuss other reasonable options with you at our discretion.
CHECK IN: (Arrival on Site)
•
CAMPING: Check in time is between 1pm and 7pm.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm.
•
Please plan your journey to ensure that you do not arrive before the check in time.
•
All New Arrivals must report to reception, please call us on arrival if reception is closed.
•
Late arrivals by prior arrangement only. Strictly no new arrivals after 9pm. (This rule is in place to protect our campers from disturbance caused by late pitching).
•
If you are unable to guarantee your arrival before 9pm, we ask that you arrive the following morning. We will be available to assist you from 8:30am onwards.
•
Late arrivals without prior notification, will be subject to a late check in fee.
•
If you fail to arrive before 7pm on the booked date and have not notified us of your delayed arrival, your booking will be cancelled at 9am the following morning and the pitch re-let. You will not be entitled to any
refund or postponement of the booking.
•
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Between the 7th and 30th September 2026) – For health and safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate new arrivals after 8pm.
CHECK OUT: (Departure from Site)
•
CAMPING: Check out time is before 11am.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check out time is before 10am.
•
Please help ensure smooth changeovers by observing these times.
•
Late departures that delay the arrival of the next guests will incur a late check-out fee.
•
It may be possible for you to stay on the campsite until 6pm on your departure day or you may wish to extend your stay, these are by prior arrangement and subject to availability. Contact Reception before
10am. *Charges apply*.
VISITORS (DAY OR OVERNIGHT): *Charges apply* (Please email us for prices).
*Anyone who wishes to visit you on the campsite, whether for “only 10 minutes,” “an hour or so” OR to stay overnight*
•
We have a responsibility to ensure the enjoyment of our overnight camping guests first and foremost over a request for Visitors.
•
DAY VISTORS - Arrival and departure times are between 10am and 6pm. *No Day Visitors to arrive after 2pm.*
•
Please do not request an extension beyond 6pm, as it will not be possible.
•
OVERNIGHT VISITORS - Arrival and departure times – arrival after 10am and departure by 11am the next day.
•
Only a limited number of visitors are allowed on site at any time, at the discretion of the campsite owners and staff.
•
It is your responsibility to ensure your visitors adhere to our full terms and conditions.
•
If visitors do not follow the rules, all parties may be asked to leave the site without a refund.
•
All visitors must check in at reception on arrival and must supply us with names, contact number and vehicle registration number, pay the fee and park in the allocated parking space.
•
Unauthorised Visitors found on site will result in all parties being asked to leave immediately, with no refund given.
•
We reserve the right to restrict visitors as necessary to maintain overall site safety and security.
PITCHES AND PREVENTING DAMAGE TO GRASS PITCHES:
•
All pitches are pre-allocated before arrival. Wherever possible, we will try to accommodate your specific requests; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet them.
•
Tents, caravans, motorhomes, and all other units must be pitched or sited on the specific pitch assigned to you, within the pitch boundary, as advised on arrival by the campsite owners and staff.
•
Awnings, toilet tents, attached tow-cars with motorhomes or campervans, and small trailers for camping equipment are included in the pitch price.
•
We do not accept stand-alone tents or gazebos/event shelters as awnings. Drive-away awnings are accepted.
•
Pop-up tents and gazebos/event shelters are allowed, but must be pre-booked and paid for, either at the time of booking or at check-in.
•
Our definition of a Pop-Up Tent: storage tent or a one-person tent occupied solely by a child under the age of 15 years.
•
Some parts of the campsite have slopes; levelling ramps may be required.
•
You must keep your pitch and the surrounding area clean and tidy to allow for grass cutting.
•
Please do not bring items such as stones, driftwood, etc., onto your pitch.
•
All awning and tent ground sheets must be breathable. We ask that you lift them at frequent intervals during your stay, or as requested by the campsite owners and staff.
•
Tents must be moved to a different pitch after seven days. We will assist you with this move.
ELECTRIC HOOK UPS (also referred to as EHU):
•
Tents requiring electrical hook up must have the correct hook up cable with circuit breaker.
•
Depending on the location of your assigned pitch, you may need a 25m cable to reach the electric hook-up. The campsite provides cables on loan if required.
•
Electric cars must NOT be plugged in or charged using any electric hook-up points on your pitch or any other sockets on the site. A £50 penalty will be payable if a car is found charging via a hook-up or any site
socket. Please ask at Reception for the nearest charging points.
•
No splitters or adaptors are allowed. Only ONE electric hook-up cable may be connected from ONE hook-up point per pitch to your main unit, awning, or gazebo. No additional leads, adapters, or splitters may be
used.
•
Only Camping heaters may be used in units/awnings/gazebos at any time. *No household heaters are allowed*.
CHILDREN:
•
Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times.
•
Young children must be supervised in and around the facilities building.
•
Only soft ball games are permitted, and please avoid playing near other campers’ units.
DOGS:
•
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are always kept on short leads.
•
Any accidental fouling must be picked up immediately and disposed of in the correct bins.
•
No dangerous breeds as listed on the Dangerous Dog Act 1991 are allowed.
•
No dogs (except assistance dogs) are permitted in the toilet and shower block.
•
Dogs may be let off the lead at the lake’s edge to enter the lake but must be put back on the lead once they leave the water.
•
Dogs must not be left unattended in units, awnings, vehicles or on the pitches.
•
Young children should not be left in charge of dogs.
•
Do not use any of the campsite washing facilities to clean your dog.
VEHICLES /BOATS AND TRAILERS:
•
One vehicle per pitch is permitted to park on the pitch. (Ground and weather conditions permitting).
•
Additional vehicles by prior arrangement only.
•
Vehicles should avoid driving on the grass, except when accessing your pitch.
•
Vehicles must not exceed 5 mph, and movement is prohibited from 10pm to 6am unless for emergencies.
•
All boats and trailers are to be parked on the foreshore gravel, not on pitches.
•
Cars, boats and trailers must not park in or obstruct the launching area.
•
Please notify us if you have requested assistance for a breakdown vehicle (no breakdown vehicle after 7pm).
•
Strictly no children at the steering wheel of any moving vehicle.
TREES/BUSHES/ENVIRONMENT:
•
Trees, bushes, and shrubs on the campsite are protected under SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) regulations.
•
Please do not climb, sit on, cut, or damage trees or their roots in any way.
•
Do not collect live or dead wood from around the campsite or the surrounding farmland and woodland.
•
The campsite is located within the rural environment of Eryri National Park. We do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury, or inconvenience caused by weather, plants, trees, insects, animals, or wildlife.
DARK SKY RESERVE:
•
We are in a Dark Sky Reserve; please keep all lighting to a minimum to avoid light pollution.
•
Guests are advised to bring a good-quality torch, as parts of the campsite are unlit.
BARBEQUES:
•
Only Charcoal or gas BBQs allowed on the pitches.
•
All BBQs must be raised at least 40 cm off the grass, kept outside in open air at all times, and positioned at least 3 metres away from all units (tents and caravans etc.) vehicles, hedges, trees, or property.
•
Any BBQ’s which have not been raised off the ground and burn the grass will incur a charge.
•
BBQs must not be converted into fires after cooking on your pitch.
•
BBQs must be used responsibly, with reasonable safety measures, and must not be left unattended.
•
BBQs must be put out by 10pm, ensuring that ashes are completely extinguished and cold before disposal.
•
A metal bin is provided for the disposal of cold ashes.
•
Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not disturb other campers.
CAMPFIRES: *ONLY WOOD PURCHASED FROM US CAN BE USED FOR YOUR CAMPFIRES*
•
Small, controlled campfires are only permitted on the gravel on the foreshore of the lake, close to the water’s edge.
•
No campfires, raised fires, chimineas, or fire pits are allowed on grass or pitches.
•
‘Bonfires” with flames exceeding 1 metre from the ground are not permitted at any time.
•
Do not bring your own wood for campfires. Everything you need for a campfire can be purchased on the campsite.
•
Burning painted or treated wood releases toxic fumes into the atmosphere and is highly dangerous to you, other campers, and the environment.
•
Collecting dead or live wood from the campsite or surrounding farmland or woodland is strictly forbidden.
•
Never leave a fire unattended.
•
Do not use coal or flammable fuels such as petrol.
•
Fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
•
Please ensure that smoke does not disturb other campers.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS AND EQUIPMENT:
•
All occupants of your party must be familiar with the location of fire points, firefighting equipment, and the contents of fire notices displayed at each unit. These are situated in prominent places around the site.
•
Fire extinguishers must not be used for any improper purposes.
•
The muster point is located behind Reception. (by the Entrance Gate).
•
By law, all units must be pitched at least 6 metres apart (requirement imposed by the local authority).
•
Vehicles, awnings, or trailers may be parked within the 6 metre space, but to restrict the spread of fire, there must always be a clear 3-metre space within the 6 metre separation. No seating, camping equipment,
or windbreaks are permitted in the fire break.
•
If your unit is pitched too close to another unit, or the required clear space/fire break is not maintained, you will be asked to move your unit.
SAFETY AND SECURITY:
•
You must use the site safely and avoid putting others at risk.
•
You must comply with all Health and Safety notices displayed around the campsite and follow any reasonable instructions from the campsite owners and staff related to Health and Safety.
•
Footwear must be worn when walking into the facilities, and wetsuits must be removed before entering.
•
24-hour CCTV is in operation in various locations around the site.
•
The site is also protected by Ring, with 24/7 video and audio surveillance.
REFUSE/ RECYCLING/LITTERING:
•
The waste and recycling bins are located behind Reception. CCTV is in operation in this area.
•
From April 2024, new laws in Wales require all waste and recycling to be separated into five bins.
1.
Paper and Cardboard – clean paper, magazines, newspapers (no takeaway boxes). (No Bin Bags).
2.
Metal Cans, Plastics, and Cartons – clean items only. (No Bin Bags).
3.
Glass Bottles and Jars – any colour -clean items only. (No Bin Bags).
4.
Food Waste – please use biodegradable bags only.
5.
Household Waste – items that cannot be recycled.
•
Gas canisters (small) should not be placed in any bins – please ask at Reception for disposal instructions.
•
Bulky waste (e.g., large cardboard boxes, airbeds, tents, chairs, gazebos, windbreaks, camping or cooking equipment, BBQs, tyres, electrical items) are not accepted and must be taken home.
•
A £50 penalty will apply if the campsite must dispose of your bulky waste.
•
We may occasionally check refuse sacks to ensure waste is disposed of safely and correctly.
TOILETS/SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS:
•
Chemical toilet waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied at the allocated facility. Do not empty in the toilet block or anywhere else on site.
•
Only environmentally friendly, biodegradable liquids may be used in chemical toilets.
•
Grey waste must also be contained in a suitable container and emptied at the allocated facility. Do not dispose of grey waste on your pitch, the grass, in the lake, or in any hedges.
•
Do not put any items into the drainage system, even if labelled biodegradable, including (but not limited to) wipes, nappies, and sanitary products.
NOISE: In the countryside, sound carries over long distances as there is nothing to obstruct it.
•
Radios, TVs, music, or any electronic sound must be kept at a very low volume. No loud music at any time.
•
No noise or music is permitted after 10 pm to avoid disturbing other campers.
•
Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated.
•
Use of generators is strictly prohibited on the site.
USING LLYN TEGID (BALA LAKE): The lake is owned and managed by the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
•
Use of the lake is at your own risk. Buoyancy aids or life jackets should be worn at all times when on the lake.
•
All boat launching, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing require a lake permit, available to purchase from the Pay and Display Machine, which is situated outside Reception. (CARD PAYMENT ONLY).
•

LOST PROPERTY:
•
Lost property found on the campsite will be kept for one month from the date it was found. If it is not claimed within this period, it will either be sold, with proceeds donated to our chosen charity, or otherwise
disposed of. Please contact us if you are seeking lost property.
•
If you wish to have an item returned, we will require the date of your stay and a description of the item. An administration fee of £10, plus postage and packing charges (depending on the size and nature of the
item), will apply. The postage and packing costs will be agreed with you in advance.
•
You are also welcome to collect your property in person or make your own arrangements for courier collection.
GENERAL and MISCELLANEOUS:
•
Grass cutting and maintenance will be carried out at reasonable hours. Please be patient, as we try to complete the work as quickly as possible.
•
Washing of pots, pans, dishes, clothes, paddleboards, boats, or similar items is strictly prohibited at the campsite’s drinking water points.
•
Do not wash clothes in any of the campsite sinks; please ask at Reception for assistance.
•
Washing of all motor vehicles, including caravans, is not allowed on site.
•
The use of drones is not permitted anywhere on the campsite.
•
No rope swings may be erected around the campsite.
•
Paddling pools or hot tubs are not allowed on the site.
•
Commercial vans are allowed by prior arrangement only.
•
Postal or courier deliveries to the campsite require prior permission.
•
Taxis and lifts will collect and drop off guests outside Reception. Vehicles are not permitted to drive to your pitches.
•
All handovers of children and/or items must be done outside Reception.
•
Food Deliveries must be collected outside Reception. No deliveries are allowed after 7pm.
•
Ice packs can be frozen at Reception; please ensure they are clearly marked with your family name. A donation to our chosen local charity is kindly requested.
•
Mobile phones and small electronic items may be charged during Reception hours at a charge of £1 per item. We can also help with charging larger items—please ask for more details.
•
Reception opening hours, contact numbers, and out-of-hours emergency numbers are displayed on the information board and the reception window. Campsite owners and/or Staff are available out of hours in
emergencies.
•
Please notify us immediately of any emergencies or concerns overnight. We prefer to address issues as they arise rather than the following day.
•
If any damage is caused to campsite property by guests or visitors, we kindly ask that it is paid for.
•
No recreational drugs are tolerated on campsite at any time.
Right of the Campsite Owners and Staff:
•
The campsite owners and staff reserve the right to ask any person(s) to vacate their pitch if they fail to adhere to these terms and conditions, including but not limited to:
Acting in a manner likely to upset or annoy other campers.
Behaving unreasonably towards the owners or staff.
Being guilty of a criminal offence.
•
The campsite owners and staff reserve the right to:
refuse or cancel any bookings without explanation
make changes to the above terms and conditions and to alter prices without notice.
request further payment for any shortfall in fees due to calculation errors.
refuse entry and re-allocate pitches, if necessary, without providing an explanation.
•
The campsite owners and staff will not be held responsible for any damage, loss, or accidents affecting any persons or property.
COMPLAINTS:
•
We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us.
•
If you have a cause for complaint, please speak to us in person while you are still on the campsite, so we can have the opportunity to resolve the issue promptly.
•
We may not be able to address your concern once you have left the campsite.
•
If the issue cannot be resolved during your stay, please email us with full details.
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY:
•
The personal information you provide will be stored and used for administrative purposes only.
•
We will only communicate with you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on our website.

Shepherds Huts: Minimum 2-night stay at all times, except Bank Holidays
(minimum 3-night stay, Friday to Monday).

We accept same day bookings; however, availability cannot be guaranteed.
Group Bookings:
•
Our campsite is ideal for families and couples. We are sorry, but we do not
accept stag or hen parties.
•
Family/Friends of 2 or more units and Organised Clubs and Associations (e.g.
Canoe Clubs, Sailing Clubs, walking groups, school groups, Scouts and D of E
participants etc.) are accepted by prior arrangement.
•
If we notice that you have made individual bookings without declaring that
you are part of a larger group, or if it later becomes clear that separate
bookings are part of an undeclared group, we reserve the right to cancel any
or all related bookings at any time, and/or ask all persons we deem to be part
of the group to leave the campsite without refund.
•
Units that require electric hook up and Units that do not require electric hook
up will not be pitched together.
Deposit:
•
Camping Pitch: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 30% of the
booking amount (including pitch extras) is required when booking a pitch.
•
Shepherds Hut: A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 50% of the
booking amount (including pitch extras) is required when booking a pitch.
Balance Payment:
•
You will receive an email 28 days before your arrival date and the remaining
balance is due 21 days prior to check in.
•
We will make every effort to contact you once via email and/or text message
before cancelling your booking, however if we fail to receive a response within
24 hours, your booking will be cancelled, and your deposit retained as a
cancellation charge.
Payments:
•
Once you complete the booking process, a confirmation email with your
booking reference number will be sent to you.
•
Payment signifies acceptance of our terms and conditions.
•
Our Tariff is displayed on our website and is based on a per night stay.
•
All payments are inclusive of VAT. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the
right to adjust the total accordingly.
•
All payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any circumstances
unless we cancel your booking due to unforeseen events.
•
Payments are NOT transferable to a third party.
•
No refunds are given under any circumstances whether for non-arrival,
arriving on a different day to your booked arrival date or you depart earlier
than your booked departure date.
•
All major credit and debit cards are accepted (except American Express) and
no card transaction fees apply.
•
Extras of any description are considered part of your booking and are
therefore non-refundable if they are cancelled whether in part or fully.
Booking Amendments / Change of dates:
•
If you wish to make any amendments to your booking, this is subject to
availability, and we require 21 days’ notice before the booked arrival date and
an administration fee of £10 per pitch.
•
If you need to change the dates booked, this is subject to availability, and we
require 21 days’ notice before the booked arrival date and an administration
fee of £10 per pitch.
•
A change of date amendment can only be made once, and the new dates
must be in the same year of the original dates booked. The new dates must
be confirmed at the time of amendment.
•
If we do not have availability for your new dates and you then wish to cancel,
any monies already paid will not be refunded.
•
Deposit payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any
circumstances. If you reduce the number of nights booked, the deposit will
not be refunded.
•
You can add extra dates to your existing booking, subject to availability, and
no administration fee will be charged.
Cancellation / Insurance:
•
Cancellation requests received 21 days or more prior to your planned arrival
date will be accepted subject to forfeiture of your booking deposit payment.
•
Cancellation request received 21 days or less prior to your planned arrival
date you will forfeit all monies paid.
•
If you or any member of your party are unable or unwilling to travel to, or stay
at, the Campsite for any reason, this shall be treated as a cancellation by you.
Such reasons may include, but are not limited to, illness (including Covid-19),
requirements or recommendations to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, jury
duty, military service, incarceration, changes in personal or work
circumstances, family emergencies, accident or injury, travel delays, vehicle
breakdown, or disruption to public transport. All such circumstances remain
at your risk and do not give rise to any right to cancel, amend, or receive a
refund, credit, or compensation.
•
We strongly recommend that you take out travel/holiday insurance to cover
any costs in the event that you need to cancel or amend your booking. If you
choose not to take out travel/holiday insurance, you accept full responsibility
for any loss or expenses you may incur as a result of cancellation or
amendments.
Circumstances beyond our control / ‘Force Maheure’ including inclement
weather forecast:
•
If we are unable to fulfil your booking or must cancel your stay due to
circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will not be liable to offer
compensation or reimburse any expenses you may incur.
•
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, war, terrorism, riots,
civil unrest, strikes or industrial action, extreme weather, flooding, natural
disasters, pandemics or epidemics, public health risks, or the failure of public
or private utilities and essential services (collectively referred to as “Force
Majeure Events”).
•
Where a Force Majeure Event occurs, we will do our best to offer an
alternative date or reasonable solution where possible, but we cannot
guarantee this.
•
We have no control over the weather. Adverse weather conditions or an
unfavourable forecast do not constitute valid grounds for cancellation,
amendment, or refund of your booking. Your stay at the Campsite is at your
own risk in relation to weather conditions, and we cannot offer any
compensation or alternative dates due to poor weather.
•
We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel/holiday insurance
to cover any losses resulting from such unforeseen events. If you choose not
to obtain travel/holiday insurance, you accept responsibility for any financial
loss that you may incur as a result of cancellation or disruption caused by a
Force Majeure Event.
Cancellation by us:
•
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking for any reason other
than circumstances beyond our control (as described under “Force Majeure”),
you will be entitled to a full refund of any fees paid.
•
Alternatively, we may offer you the option to move your booking to an
alternative date or pitch, subject to availability. If the new booking is more
expensive, you will be responsible for paying the difference; if it is cheaper, we
will refund the difference.
•
No other compensation, expenses, or damages will be payable in connection
with such a cancellation.
Lockdown:
•
If your home address becomes subject to a local or regional lockdown that
legally prevents you from travelling to the Campsite for your booked dates, or
if we are required to close due to Government restrictions covering your
booking period, we will offer to transfer your booking to alternative dates
within the same calendar year.
•
This transfer will be made free of charge, with no administration fees and no
minimum notice period required.
•
If suitable alternative dates cannot be arranged within the same year, we will
discuss other reasonable options with you at our discretion.
CHECK IN: (Arrival on Site)
•
CAMPING: Check in time is between 1pm and 7pm.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm.
•
Please plan your journey to ensure that you do not arrive before the check in
time.
•
All New Arrivals must report to reception, please call us on arrival if reception
is closed.
•
Late arrivals by prior arrangement only. Strictly no new arrivals after 9pm.
(This rule is in place to protect our campers from disturbance caused by late
pitching).
•
If you are unable to guarantee your arrival before 9pm, we ask that you arrive
the following morning. We will be available to assist you from 8:30am
onwards.
•
Late arrivals without prior notification, will be subject to a late check in fee.
•
If you fail to arrive before 7pm on the booked date and have not notified us of
your delayed arrival, your booking will be cancelled at 9am the following
morning and the pitch re-let. You will not be entitled to any refund or
postponement of the booking.
•
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Between the 7th and 30th September 2026) – For
health and safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate new arrivals after
8pm.
CHECK OUT: (Departure from Site)
•
CAMPING: Check out time is before 11am.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check out time is before 10am.
•
Please help ensure smooth changeovers by observing these times.
•
Late departures that delay the arrival of the next guests will incur a late
check-out fee.
•
It may be possible for you to stay on the campsite until 6pm on your
departure day or you may wish to extend your stay, these are by prior
arrangement and subject to availability. Contact Reception before 10am.

We have a responsibility to ensure the enjoyment of our overnight camping
guests first and foremost over a request for Visitors.
•
DAY VISTORS - Arrival and departure times are between 10am and 6pm.
*No Day Visitors to arrive after 2pm.*
•
Please do not request an extension beyond 6pm, as it will not be possible.
•
OVERNIGHT VISITORS - Arrival and departure times – arrival after 10am
and departure by 11am the next day.
•
Only a limited number of visitors are allowed on site at any time, at the
discretion of the campsite owners and staff.
•
It is your responsibility to ensure your visitors adhere to our full terms and
conditions.
•
If visitors do not follow the rules, all parties may be asked to leave the site
without a refund.
•
All visitors must check in at reception on arrival and must supply us with
names, contact number and vehicle registration number, pay the fee and park
in the allocated parking space.
•
Unauthorised Visitors found on site will result in all parties being asked to
leave immediately, with no refund given.
•
We reserve the right to restrict visitors as necessary to maintain overall site
safety and security.
PITCHES AND PREVENTING DAMAGE TO GRASS PITCHES:
•
All pitches are pre-allocated before arrival. Wherever possible, we will try to
accommodate your specific requests; however, we cannot guarantee that we
will be able to meet them.
•
Tents, caravans, motorhomes, and all other units must be pitched or sited on
the specific pitch assigned to you, within the pitch boundary, as advised on
arrival by the campsite owners and staff.
•
Awnings, toilet tents, attached tow-cars with motorhomes or campervans,
and small trailers for camping equipment are included in the pitch price.
•
We do not accept stand-alone tents or gazebos/event shelters as awnings.
Drive-away awnings are accepted.
•
Pop-up tents and gazebos/event shelters are allowed, but must be pre-
booked and paid for, either at the time of booking or at check-in.
•
Our definition of a Pop-Up Tent: storage tent or a one-person tent occupied
solely by a child under the age of 15 years.
•
Some parts of the campsite have slopes; levelling ramps may be required.
•
You must keep your pitch and the surrounding area clean and tidy to allow for
grass cutting.
•
Please do not bring items such as stones, driftwood, etc., onto your pitch.
•
All awning and tent ground sheets must be breathable. We ask that you lift
them at frequent intervals during your stay, or as requested by the campsite
owners and staff.
•
Tents must be moved to a different pitch after seven days. We will assist you
with this move.
ELECTRIC HOOK UPS (also referred to as EHU):
•
Tents requiring electrical hook up must have the correct hook up cable with
circuit breaker.
•
Depending on the location of your assigned pitch, you may need a 25m cable
to reach the electric hook-up. The campsite provides cables on loan if
required.
•
Electric cars must NOT be plugged in or charged using any electric hook-up
points on your pitch or any other sockets on the site. A £50 penalty will be
payable if a car is found charging via a hook-up or any site socket. Please ask
at Reception for the nearest charging points.
•
No splitters or adaptors are allowed. Only ONE electric hook-up cable may be
connected from ONE hook-up point per pitch to your main unit, awning, or
gazebo. No additional leads, adapters, or splitters may be used.
•
Only Camping heaters may be used in units/awnings/gazebos at any time.
*No household heaters are allowed*.
CHILDREN:
•
Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times.
•
Young children must be supervised in and around the facilities building.
•
Only soft ball games are permitted, and please avoid playing near other
campers’ units.
DOGS:
•
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are always kept on short
leads.
•
Any accidental fouling must be picked up immediately and disposed of in the
correct bins.
•
No dangerous breeds as listed on the Dangerous Dog Act 1991 are allowed.
•
No dogs (except assistance dogs) are permitted in the toilet and shower
block.
•
Dogs may be let off the lead at the lake’s edge to enter the lake but must be
put back on the lead once they leave the water.
•
Dogs must not be left unattended in units, awnings, vehicles or on the
pitches.
•
Young children should not be left in charge of dogs.
•
Do not use any of the campsite washing facilities to clean your dog.
VEHICLES /BOATS AND TRAILERS:
•
One vehicle per pitch is permitted to park on the pitch. (Ground and weather
conditions permitting).
•
Additional vehicles by prior arrangement only.
•
Vehicles should avoid driving on the grass, except when accessing your pitch.
•
Vehicles must not exceed 5 mph, and movement is prohibited from 10pm to
6am unless for emergencies.
•
All boats and trailers are to be parked on the foreshore gravel, not on pitches.
•
Cars, boats and trailers must not park in or obstruct the launching area.
•
Please notify us if you have requested assistance for a breakdown vehicle (no
breakdown vehicle after 7pm).
•
Strictly no children at the steering wheel of any moving vehicle.
TREES/BUSHES/ENVIRONMENT:
•
Trees, bushes, and shrubs on the campsite are protected under SSSI (Site of
Special Scientific Interest) regulations.
•
Please do not climb, sit on, cut, or damage trees or their roots in any way.
•
Do not collect live or dead wood from around the campsite or the surrounding
farmland and woodland.
•
The campsite is located within the rural environment of Eryri National Park.
We do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury, or inconvenience
caused by weather, plants, trees, insects, animals, or wildlife.
DARK SKY RESERVE:
•
We are in a Dark Sky Reserve; please keep all lighting to a minimum to avoid
light pollution.
•
Guests are advised to bring a good-quality torch, as parts of the campsite are
unlit.
BARBEQUES:
•
Only Charcoal or gas BBQs allowed on the pitches.
•
All BBQs must be raised at least 40 cm off the grass, kept outside in open air
at all times, and positioned at least 3 metres away from all units (tents and
caravans etc.) vehicles, hedges, trees, or property.
•
Any BBQ’s which have not been raised off the ground and burn the grass will
incur a charge.
•
BBQs must not be converted into fires after cooking on your pitch.
•
BBQs must be used responsibly, with reasonable safety measures, and must
not be left unattended.
•
BBQs must be put out by 10pm, ensuring that ashes are completely
extinguished and cold before disposal.
•
A metal bin is provided for the disposal of cold ashes.
•
Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not disturb other campers.
CAMPFIRES: *ONLY WOOD PURCHASED FROM US CAN BE USED FOR YOUR
CAMPFIRES*
•
Small, controlled campfires are only permitted on the gravel on the foreshore
of the lake, close to the water’s edge.
•
No campfires, raised fires, chimineas, or fire pits are allowed on grass or
pitches.
•
‘Bonfires” with flames exceeding 1 metre from the ground are not permitted
at any time.
•
Do not bring your own wood for campfires. Everything you need for a
campfire can be purchased on the campsite.
•
Burning painted or treated wood releases toxic fumes into the atmosphere
and is highly dangerous to you, other campers, and the environment.
•
Collecting dead or live wood from the campsite or surrounding farmland or
woodland is strictly forbidden.
•
Never leave a fire unattended.
•
Do not use coal or flammable fuels such as petrol.
•
Fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
•
Please ensure that smoke does not disturb other campers.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS AND EQUIPMENT:
•
All occupants of your party must be familiar with the location of fire points,
firefighting equipment, and the contents of fire notices displayed at each unit.
These are situated in prominent places around the site.
•
Fire extinguishers must not be used for any improper purposes.
•
The muster point is located behind Reception. (by the Entrance Gate).
•
By law, all units must be pitched at least 6 metres apart (requirement
imposed by the local authority).
•
Vehicles, awnings, or trailers may be parked within the 6 metre space, but to
restrict the spread of fire, there must always be a clear 3-metre space within
the 6 metre separation. No seating, camping equipment, or windbreaks are
permitted in the fire break.
•
If your unit is pitched too close to another unit, or the required clear space/fire
break is not maintained, you will be asked to move your unit.
SAFETY AND SECURITY:
•
You must use the site safely and avoid putting others at risk.
•
You must comply with all Health and Safety notices displayed around the
campsite and follow any reasonable instructions from the campsite owners
and staff related to Health and Safety.
•
Footwear must be worn when walking into the facilities, and wetsuits must be
removed before entering.
•
24-hour CCTV is in operation in various locations around the site.
•
The site is also protected by Ring, with 24/7 video and audio surveillance.
REFUSE/ RECYCLING/LITTERING:
•
The waste and recycling bins are located behind Reception. CCTV is in
operation in this area.
•
From April 2024, new laws in Wales require all waste and recycling to be
separated into five bins.
1.
Paper and Cardboard – clean paper, magazines, newspapers (no
takeaway boxes). (No Bin Bags).
2.
Metal Cans, Plastics, and Cartons – clean items only. (No Bin Bags).
3.
Glass Bottles and Jars – any colour -clean items only. (No Bin Bags).
4.
Food Waste – please use biodegradable bags only.
5.
Household Waste – items that cannot be recycled.
•
Gas canisters (small) should not be placed in any bins – please ask at
Reception for disposal instructions.
•
Bulky waste (e.g., large cardboard boxes, airbeds, tents, chairs, gazebos,
windbreaks, camping or cooking equipment, BBQs, tyres, electrical items) are
not accepted and must be taken home.
•
A £50 penalty will apply if the campsite must dispose of your bulky waste.
•
We may occasionally check refuse sacks to ensure waste is disposed of
safely and correctly.
TOILETS/SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS:
•
Chemical toilet waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied
at the allocated facility. Do not empty in the toilet block or anywhere else on
site.
•
Only environmentally friendly, biodegradable liquids may be used in chemical
toilets.
•
Grey waste must also be contained in a suitable container and emptied at the
allocated facility. Do not dispose of grey waste on your pitch, the grass, in the
lake, or in any hedges.
•
Do not put any items into the drainage system, even if labelled biodegradable,
including (but not limited to) wipes, nappies, and sanitary products.
NOISE: In the countryside, sound carries over long distances as there is nothing
to obstruct it.
•
Radios, TVs, music, or any electronic sound must be kept at a very low
volume. No loud music at any time.
•
No noise or music is permitted after 10 pm to avoid disturbing other
campers.
•
Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated.
•
Use of generators is strictly prohibited on the site.
USING LLYN TEGID (BALA LAKE): The lake is owned and managed by the Eryri
(Snowdonia) National Park.
•
Use of the lake is at your own risk. Buoyancy aids or life jackets should be
worn at all times when on the lake.
•
All boat launching, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing require a lake
permit, available to purchase from the Pay and Display Machine, which is
situated outside Reception. (CARD PAYMENT ONLY).

LOST PROPERTY:
•
Lost property found on the campsite will be kept for one month from the date
it was found. If it is not claimed within this period, it will either be sold, with
proceeds donated to our chosen charity, or otherwise disposed of. Please
contact us if you are seeking lost property.
•
If you wish to have an item returned, we will require the date of your stay and
a description of the item. An administration fee of £10, plus postage and
packing charges (depending on the size and nature of the item), will apply.
The postage and packing costs will be agreed with you in advance.
•
You are also welcome to collect your property in person or make your own
arrangements for courier collection.
GENERAL and MISCELLANEOUS:
•
Grass cutting and maintenance will be carried out at reasonable hours.
Please be patient, as we try to complete the work as quickly as possible.
•
Washing of pots, pans, dishes, clothes, paddleboards, boats, or similar items
is strictly prohibited at the campsite’s drinking water points.
•
Do not wash clothes in any of the campsite sinks; please ask at Reception for
assistance.
•
Washing of all motor vehicles, including caravans, is not allowed on site.
•
The use of drones is not permitted anywhere on the campsite.
•
No rope swings may be erected around the campsite.
•
Paddling pools or hot tubs are not allowed on the site.
•
Commercial vans are allowed by prior arrangement only.
•
Postal or courier deliveries to the campsite require prior permission.
•
Taxis and lifts will collect and drop off guests outside Reception. Vehicles are
not permitted to drive to your pitches.
•
All handovers of children and/or items must be done outside Reception.
•
Food Deliveries must be collected outside Reception. No deliveries are
allowed after 7pm.
•
Ice packs can be frozen at Reception; please ensure they are clearly marked
with your family name. A donation to our chosen local charity is kindly
requested.
•
Mobile phones and small electronic items may be charged during Reception
hours at a charge of £1 per item. We can also help with charging larger
items—please ask for more details.
•
Reception opening hours, contact numbers, and out-of-hours emergency
numbers are displayed on the information board and the reception window.
Campsite owners and/or Staff are available out of hours in emergencies.
•
Please notify us immediately of any emergencies or concerns overnight. We
prefer to address issues as they arise rather than the following day.
•
If any damage is caused to campsite property by guests or visitors, we kindly
ask that it is paid for.
•
No recreational drugs are tolerated on campsite at any time.
Right of the Campsite Owners and Staff:
•
The campsite owners and staff reserve the right to ask any person(s) to
vacate their pitch if they fail to adhere to these terms and conditions,
including but not limited to:
Acting in a manner likely to upset or annoy other campers.
Behaving unreasonably towards the owners or staff.
Being guilty of a criminal offence.
•
The campsite owners and staff reserve the right to:
refuse or cancel any bookings without explanation
make changes to the above terms and conditions and to alter prices without
notice.
request further payment for any shortfall in fees due to calculation errors.
refuse entry and re-allocate pitches, if necessary, without providing an
explanation.
•
The campsite owners and staff will not be held responsible for any damage,
loss, or accidents affecting any persons or property.
COMPLAINTS:
•
We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us.
•
If you have a cause for complaint, please speak to us in person while you are
still on the campsite, so we can have the opportunity to resolve the issue
promptly.
•
We may not be able to address your concern once you have left the campsite.
•
If the issue cannot be resolved during your stay, please email us with full
details.
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY:
•
The personal information you provide will be stored and used for
administrative purposes only.
•
We will only communicate with you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a
copy of which is available on our website.
