Access Statement Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite – Access & Visitor Information Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite welcomes everyone. We cater for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents, roof top tents and have three Shepherd’s Huts available. The campsite is set within beautiful natural surroundings, with stunning views across the lake and mountains. Location The Lakeside Campsite is situated on the B4403, approximately 3.5 miles from the town of Bala. Our entrance is located opposite Llangower Village Hall. Postcode: LL23 7BT Important: If approaching from the Bala end of the lake, some SAT NAVS may instruct you to turn left away from the lake. DO NOT TURN LEFT AWAY FROM THE LAKE. Continue along the B4403 with the lake on your right until you reach our entrance, also on your right, opposite Llangower Village Hall. What3Words: ///parrot.kicks.munch Grid Reference: SH90383 32554 Easting: 290383   Northing: 332554 Latitude: 52.879245   Longitude: -3.630298 Arrival & Entrance Access to the campsite is over a narrow bridge with a 10-tonne gross vehicle weight limit. All vehicles, apart from the largest RVs, can cross without issue—just approach slowly and with care. If you have any concerns about the entrance bridge, please contact us. The entrance gate is kept closed for safety; please ensure you close it behind you. Upon arrival, Reception is located on the right, which has ramp access. Site Layout & Facilities Roads within the campsite are tarmac or gravel, with a 5-mph speed limit. A variety of pitch types are available; help with pitching is always offered. Levelling ramps may be required on some pitches. The campsite has limited lighting at night, as we are located within a Dark Sky Reserve. Please ensure you bring a good-quality torch. The main facilities block is next to Reception and is lit at night. Accessible Facilities We have a disabled-access toilet, basin and shower, suitable for wheelchair users. The shower includes a seat and grab rails. Assistance dogs are permitted in the accessible facility. We do not currently have dedicated accessible pitches, but we are happy to allocate the most suitable pitch based on individual needs. Other Facilities Fire points and drinking water taps are located conveniently throughout the site. Chemical toilet disposal, waste and recycling bins are situated behind Reception. Well-behaved dogs are welcome and must be kept on a short lead. Nearby Services & Transport The nearest defibrillator is located at the village, inside the old telephone kiosk. The closest rail links are Wrexham/Ruabon, with bus connections to and from Bala. A taxi service is available from Bala—please ask at Reception for the number. The Bala Lake Narrow Gauge Railway runs from Llanuwchllyn to Bala and Bala to Llanuwchllyn and stops at Llangower Halt Station, which is within walking distance of the campsite. Emergency & Contact Information Mobile phone coverage is good for all networks across the site. A telephone is available at all times for emergency use only—please ask at Reception. Reception opening hours, contact numbers, and out-of-hours emergency numbers are displayed on the information board and the reception window. Campsite owners and/or staff are available out of hours for emergencies. Please notify us immediately of any emergencies or concerns overnight. We prefer to address issues as they arise rather than the following day.
